Ainahau Tower vs Princess Wing: Detailed Comparison

Based on my own experience from staying at the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani hotel, let me share my take on “Ainahau Tower vs Princess Wing”.

Views

First, let’s compare the ocean views from each tower.

Princess Wing (10th floor)

This is the view from a Princess Ocean View room in the Princess Wing. Ocean view rooms are exclusive for couple of top floors of the wing.

Ainahau Tower (19th floor)

And here is the Tower Ocean View room in the Ainahau Tower.

What do you think?

Though the rooms in the Princess Wing have decent view of the ocean behind the Moana Surfrider hotel, I must say that Ainahau Tower has rooms with much better view to the ocean.

Please note that Ainahau Tower has up to 29th floor, compared to Princess Wing’s 11.

It means you are inherently more likely to get a room in the Ainahau Tower that is much higher than the top floor of the Princess Wing.

Rooms

Though there are some older online posts saying that Princess Wing has not been renovated, it has been renovated recently, as far as I checked.

This is the Princess Wing.

And this one is from the Ainahau Tower.

Yes, they look the same.

This is the bathroom in the Princess Wing. Pretty basic with everything white-themed.

And this is Ainahau Tower. This one looks a bit more modern and sophisticated with the granite-like countertop, and the dark mirror frame and floor.

You might still see some differences, or something being outdated in other parts like sink, toilet, electrical outlets, etc.

Also, Ainahau Tower rooms are slightly smaller than Princess Wing, by about 18 sqft or 2 sqm, if you compare the Ocean View rooms from either tower.

I Recommend Ainahau Tower

As lot of you might have guessed it, I recommend Ainahau Tower for its view.

I liked the view and the openness you get from being higher from the ground, and you often get it for a cheaper price than Princess Wing actually.

These towers are right next to each other and share the same lobby, pool, and bar, so not much advantage or disadvantage in terms of facility.
