In this article, I will just introduce the two closest places to the Rainbow Tower, Tropics Bar & Grill and Hau Tree Bar.

You can get light meals and snacks like nachos, hamburgers, sandwiches, etc. They do have alcoholic drinks too.

Activities
Super Pool
Super Pool is right outside of the Rainbow Tower. It is a bit hard to find available chairs.
Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon
At the stand next to the lagoon, you can rent kayaks, floating tricycles, paddle boats, etc. But remember, you are only allowed to use these equipments inside the lagoon, and not allowed to take them to the actual ocean.
Waikiki Starlight Luau
“Waikiki Starlight Luau” is held every Sunday to Thursday night on the Great Lawn nearby the lagoon.
You can enjoy fun island activities and cultural lessons, followed by the Polynesian show “Voyage Across the South Seas”.
In addition to traditional Hawaiian cuisine, there are also extensive international foods such as fried rice and sushi rolls.

Waikiki Beach
As you already know, the beach is right in front of the Rainbow Tower.
If you go out to the beach from the little path between the tower and the Super Pool, you see the booth where you can borrow one of those beach parasols and chairs.
Quality of Life
- Parking
- Hilton Hawaiian Village provides a six-level parking garage, conveniently accessible from all towers at the resort. Self-parking and valet parking are both available.
- Elevator
- The elevators are a little confusing at first. You have to enter your floor on a touch panel and it tells you which elevator to get on.
- If you get on the wrong elevator you go straight to the wrong floor.
- Laundry
- Laundry machines are not available in any of the towers.
- They do offer laundry service at a charge. Laundry bags and ticket forms are located in your closet.
- Water
- If you want bottled water, the closest option would be the vending machine on the ground floor.
- You can also get bigger bottles at the ABC store at the pacific conference center.
Rainbow Tower vs Ali’i Tower
The Rainbow Tower and the Ali’i Tower are the only towers that are adjacent to the Waikiki Beach, and seem to be often compared with each other.
Rainbow Tower for the View
Rainbow Tower has better views because of its location and height.
Rainbow Tower has 31 stories and is literally right in front of the Pacific Ocean, with the Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head on one side and Ala Wai Boat Harbor on the other.
Ali’i Tower has 15 stories, and although it is ocean front, Ali’i tower is set back a little bit from the beach.
If you get an ocean/lagoon view of the Rainbow Tower, you are right in front of the Friday fireworks.
Ali’i Tower for the Experience
Ali’i Tower is more exclusive with privileged access to the exclusive front desk, Ali’i Pool Terrace, fitness center, dedicated concierge and exclusive fireworks view.
I did more detailed comparison in the article below, so please check.
